After nine years, four albums, two EP’s, and countless shows with Flight Metaphor, Bill will be stepping away from the band this fall. He leaves on good terms, and for the best reason: to spend more time with his wife and kids.
Bill’s farewell show will be held on Friday, September 30th at the Slowdown in Omaha, Nebraska. Names Without Numbers and The End In Red will join us on stage for this “celebration of rock.” Come show your appreciation as we say farewell to one of our founding members! Check out the Slowdown’s Facebook event for further information.
Flight Metaphor will continue to forge ahead with new music and new shows this fall, beginning with our performance at Lifelight Festival on September 2nd. Longtime friend of the band, Danny Eberly, will be filling in behind the drums until we find a permanent replacement.
In closing, Bill has prepared this brief statement expressing his gratitude for your support over the years:
– Bill Harvat

We’ve been working on these songs for over two years, and we truly believe that they’re the best representation of Flight Metaphor ever captured. It’s shaping up to be a loud, raucous, melodic rock album, and we really like it. We think you will, too.
Our first two albums are now on YouTube! You can stream Mess and Eastmost Peninsula in their entirety using the playlists embedded below:
As always, if you want to support the band, you can purchase our music on Bandcamp.
